Article Publication Guidelines
Please read carefully - your article will not be considered until after it has been written, submitted to us, and edited by our staff. Articles will be scheduled to print on a first come basis - the sooner your article is submitted, the sooner it will appear in Women's Connection Magazine, and be seen by thousands of Bay Area women! Be sure to include your name, company name, address and phone number with all article submissions.
The following is a listing of the types of articles that we are interested in, with a short description:
BUSINESS WOMEN COVER PROFILE - cover photo and a NTE 700 word profile*
To qualify for this category, you need to be a local independent business woman, have a "cover quality" (5x7) photo of yourself, and a 700 word profile article, highlighting your struggles and accomplishments - how you got to where you are today. Use this space to inspire others to take the road to independence, economic self-sufficiency and job fulfillment.
WOMEN ARTIST – ENTERTAINER – WRITER PROFILE - 500 word profile*
Are you a woman artist, entertainer or writer? Write a profile article and let us know about yourself and the work you do. (Picture optional.)
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS - 500 word profile*
There are a lot of very important local non-profit organizations that get very little publicity - here is a place for them. The good work done by these hard working organizations and the people running them should not go unnoticed. (Picture optional.)
INFORMATIONAL - "ARTICLES FROM THE EXPERTS" - 200 word article*
You may not be an artist, writer or entertainer, but you have knowledge to share - think about what you know that would be of interest to other women and write an article. Be specific in choosing your subjects - you can write more than one article. (Pictures optional.) All of you are experts in your field - share a little of your knowledge with us!
LOCAL POINTS OF INTEREST/SPECIAL INTEREST - 200 word article*
Have you found a "special place" in the area, an interesting product, person, or event? These are examples of the things that we would be interested in hearing about, and we think a lot of other women in the area would be too! (Pictures optional.)

Advertise: In an economic climate that is being taken over by big retailers, it’s getting more and more difficult to find cost effective advertising opportunities geared for small local businesses. Women’s Connection offers you that option. You have the chance to have a small display ad for as little as $95.00 per issue. We have a number of advertising options to meet your needs and budget.
Subscribe: Although we have over 80 drop sites throughout the south bay, the easiest way to get a copy of Women’s Connection is to have it delivered to your mail box. Submit articles for publication: The articles in Women’s Connection are submitted by business women just like you. This is an opportunity to share your knowledge and bring your business to the attention of thousands of local women.
